In collaboration with Kenfrost Homes, we undertook a pivotal role in curating an acoustic masterpiece for the Deep Creek Estate. The challenge at hand was to create an oasis of tranquillity amidst the bustling presence of the adjacent Captain Cook Highway. Engaged for the Design, Construction, and securing DTMR Approvals, we designed and installed the 1200m long and 2m high Acoustic Noise Barrier Wall at Clifton Beach, QLD – a testament to our dedication to comprehensive project management.
Project scope:
Rising to 2 meters high, the timber acoustic fence was strategically installed atop an existing 2-meter-high earth mound. This dual-layered defence against noise pollution served as both a visual and auditory shield for Deep Creek Estate residents. We undertook challenges including working in continuous rain conditions and humidity in tropical Queensland, and working with limited resources in Far North Queensland.
Outcome:
An acoustic barrier that not only reduced noise pollution but created a haven within the thriving community.
